Nikki Giovanni Visit
Renowned writer and poet, Nikki Giovanni, visits the university for an intimate gallery chat with Kren before giving a public reading of select poems from her portfolio as part of the "Y'all Don't Hear Me: The Black Appalachia" exhibition. Aside from her writings, Nikki also shares her thoughts on a range of topics like the importance of the Appalachia in regards to US history, family and friendships, her interactions with the late Queen Elizabeth, and overcoming cancer twice.
